Water Meter and Plumbing Operations
Smart Valve™ is installed after the meter. AWS describes its function as helping keep entrained air compressed through the meter while moderating pressure and flow fluctuations. It is not a water treatment device and does not remove air or guarantee unchanged pressure.
Flow and pressure context
The device moderates fluctuations; it does not promise unchanged pressure, replace a PRV, or serve as a control system.
What it does not do
It does not remove air, treat water, alter mineral chemistry, or make clinical or facility-approval decisions.
Later adjustments
After installation, later external adjustments do not require a shutdown. The site should follow its own operating procedures.
