How to read these results
“Source” identifies the underlying record—such as utility bills, an AWS measurement report, or a technical document. “Measure” identifies what that source compared. Dollar savings reflect billed cost. Metered volume reflects the utility meter record. Daily-use comparisons adjust totals for the number of days measured, while occupancy-normalized comparisons also account for occupancy. These measures are not interchangeable, and each project uses its stated source period and method. Start with a relevant example such as the Amazon fulfillment-centre case study, then follow its source and method notes.
